How to use the OneAccount for free

Avoid paying fees with your TECH OneCard and OneAccount...here's how:

1. Just "Sign for it" for fee-free Debit MasterCard^® purchases

When using your TECH OneCard to make purchases, always sign for your purchases instead of entering your PIN. To do this, choose "credit" instead of "debit" at the checkout. Swipe your card and sign the receipt. When you sign for it, you won't be charged a PIN Based transaction fee. And more importantly the purchase is more secure since it’s covered by MasterCard® Zero Liability policy. MasterCard Zero Liability Policy means you are eligible for protection against fraudulent purchases made with your card when you report the theft promptly. 2. Use free ATMs

Although you can use your TECH OneCard to withdraw cash at any ATM, if your school has a Higher One ATM, withdraw your cash for free and avoid paying any "foreign" ATM fees.

3. Check your free online, real-time statement often

Checking your available OneAccount balance online is an excellent way to make sure you have enough money to cover purchases or cash withdrawals. Your statement is updated in real-time and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Checking your statement makes it easy to avoid fees for "insufficient funds.”

4. Mobile Alerts
You can receive an automatic text message whenever your refund status or balance changes. Or, send Higher One a text message and receive a text with your current OneAccount balance. Standard text messaging rates apply.

5. No more stamps

Pay your bills automatically using your TECH OneCard, while you save money on checks and postage.
